About the Role Marvel Technologies Inc. is looking for a Senior Node.js API Developer to join our dynamic team.

This is a W2-only opportunity (No C2C) for professionals who are passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems.

You’ll be expected to bring 7+ years of hands-on Node.js experience, demonstrate deep backend engineering knowledge, and work in a fast-paced agile environment alongside a talented cross-functional team.

Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Express.js.

Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.

Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver complete solutions.

Ensure application performance, scalability, and security.

Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation.

Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Integrate third-party services and APIs.

Deploy applications using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Maintain detailed documentation of APIs and system architecture.

Stay current with the latest backend trends and technologies.

Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of experience in Node.js development.

Strong in JavaScript and TypeScript.

Proficiency in Express.js or similar frameworks.

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL (preferred).

Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Proficient with databases: MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

Knowledge of JWT, OAuth, and secure API practices.

Hands-on experience with cloud and serverless deployments.

Version control with Git, GitHub, or GitLab.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working in Agile environments.

Preferred Skills Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, and real-time communication.

Familiar with DevOps tools, CI/CD, monitoring, and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
